Parklands Junior School Nature Diary

The nature trail people continued to help clean up the nature trail and fill up the pond with water to help our teachers.We also collected sticks and pulled out goose grass.

3 mallard ducks paid a flying visit to the school this morning.

Work began today on clearing some of the overgrown trail. Although we aim to let nature take its course in most cases, a little bit of help is needed to stop one or two plants swamping the whole area. Today we concentrated on clearing the path and removing a lot of the Goosegrass that is covering the plants.

Mr Bezuidenhout examines the underside of an old log. There were plenty of woodlice and white lipped snails hiding under it.
